This 1,600-square-foot residence in Clearwater, Florida, was transformed for a physician relocating from the Netherlands to the United States for work. With a short timeline before his move, the project called for a thoughtful, focused renovation that would modernize the home while making the most of its existing architecture. Rather than undertaking a complete remodel, the design concentrated on the spaces that would have the greatest impact on everyday living: the kitchen, primary bedroom, and primary bathroom.

The kitchen was refreshed with a clean, transitional approach, combining crisp white cabinetry, warm wood tones, and streamlined finishes to create a brighter and more contemporary heart of the home. In the primary suite, a softer palette of layered neutrals, textured wallcovering, tailored furnishings, and understated details creates a calm retreat, while the bathroom introduces a more modern material palette with warm wood cabinetry, large-format tile, patterned accents, and integrated lighting. Together, the renovated spaces give this modestly sized home a cohesive, sophisticated character that feels comfortable, refined, and ready for its new owner.
